What's up with LJ now!?

Anyway too busy arguing with old superannuated academics about Art's site to be online much. Yesterday had a long long LONG yelling match with a bastard entrenched in XIX century theories about the ancient world and came back exhausted. Still am. Grr.

Good news are GOOD! Happy for you and happy for me re: your fic.

Sorry for disappearance, am devoured alive by RL things. The good news ( ^_- ) is that my marriage is wonderful - din't really expect that - and my doctorate thesis has been accepted and, apparently, is eagerly awaited. Prehistoric (and pre-sapiens) commerce and communication plus a smattering of migration patterns.

The bad news is that it's a TON of work and Italian academes are a bunch of illiterate, antiquated arseholes which means hours of screaming and fighting.

Also I can't really go half-naked as was my wont when it's really hot because my body is a tapestry of scars and I can't bare them to the sun for another two years at least... and it's all HOTSUNHOTHOTHOT and no shade in the dig. WAAAH!

I can't wait to have a little bit of time for reading non-study-related things which will happen in a couple of weeks or so. I'll alternate books and fics - YOURS - lollying on my comfy chair and it'll be HEAVEN!

I'm glad to hear that life's going so well for you, and that your marriage is working out better than you expected. I look forward to hearing - well, reading - what you think of my latest works. I've already started work on the sequel to Meeting Places, and I have some chapters of that posted as well. :D
