I've just had a perfectly civilised and scholarly post moderated at 'Unredeemed' because apparently it wasn't ass-licking enough of the - and I quote - 'great author Rowling'.

Civilisation is dead and we are wandering through its ruins, desperate and aimless.

It is no more permitted to have an opinion about a published author. She's published! She's GOD!!!

What price literary critics? What price brains? What price freedom of speech?

Voldemort has won and Sauron and Sinister and Hitler and Palpatine and... oh fuck, insert name of favourite Dark Lord here.

Am really so furious because I never thought to have a back-up of my original post and now only the censored one remains. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

This will teach me to wander in pre-schoolers' sites.

May reality smash the moderators of that site to bits with no hope of ever achieving normalcy. May life crush them into impotence and poverty.

Me? Been there, done that. Life has wrecked her utmost on me, and I still will shout: "I can bloody well criticise any published author!"

Yep. It's not like there's a level of "yay Rowling" you must conform to, or her books will devolve in quality.
